Planning a litter is the "science" part of breeding dogs. I believe
that part of the art of creating nice dogs is knowing the dogs in your pedigree, their get, and ancestors. This is
critical to making good breeding decisions in my opinion. Along with a lot of study and planning comes an immense amount
of luck.
Reputable breeders are creating dogs for the sole purpose of improving
upon what they have. Rarely will a reputable breeder be in this grueling, often times heartbreaking, endeavor
for the money. Frenchies are very costly to create and litters are small. Mortality is high in this breed. Breeding
this breed is not for the faint of heart.
My goal is to create as healthy a French Bulldog as I possibly can.
I health test my dogs and try to make the best decision I can as to their value in my breeding program. I am a difficult
task master in this regard. I think you have to be brutally honest about your dogs and what they bring to
the whelping box. Working together with breeders of a like mindset is paramount to me.
I occasionally have puppies, or an older dog that didnt meet my expectations
for the show ring, available as a pet. I carefully place these babies and young adults on spay/ neuter
contracts only. I do not sell breeding stock. No exceptions. Please dont ask.
If you would like to be on my waiting list please let me know. I would
appreciate a detailed introductory e-mail telling me about your particular "wants", your family and home life.
Please be as detailed as possible. It is my goal to match up each french fry with the perfect
forever home. I also refer people to others that I know have the same high standards as myself.
Below are the litters that I presently have, or am contemplating for this coming year. Remember,
not all planned breedings actually happen. Mother Nature has a way of keeping us humble.
